Female Biceps – Workout Ideas
The key to any kind of workout routine or exercise program is this: the best workout is the workout that you do. In other words, no matter how great your plan is, you will never get anywhere if you are not consistent and work towards your goal every day. Now, that being said, there are quite a few work outs that you can try if you are trying to tone those biceps. Some include the use of weights and other machines, others only make use of your body weight. Do not worry if you cannot afford to go to the gym every day or if you do not have a lot of workout equipment in your home. All you need for most bicep exercises is a set of medium sized dumbbells.
Most women are turned off by the idea of bulky biceps with protruding veins like female body builders have. For one, women are not meant to have huge protruding biceps and for two, it does not even come naturally. You can lift weights for an average amount of time a few times a week and not experience any tangible muscle build. This is because the female body is different than a man’s in the sense that it is generally more slender. Females tone easier than men do. Just be sure that you are not lifting extraordinarily heavy weights. Also, if you are not building up your resistance, or lifting heavier and heavier weights, than you do not have to worry about serious muscle build.
If you want slender yet power arm muscles, what you need is strength training. Strength training involves using limited weight, even your own body weight, and training for long periods of time regularly. This helps to spread out your muscle resistance and give your muscle more density which makes them stronger. Strength training usually involves a set of small weights. You can buy a set of 10 to 30 pound weights for a fairly reasonable price. It is better to get a set that you can use for a long time rather than purchasing individual weights one by one.
A good tip for your workouts is to vary your exercises. Do different types of exercises every workout. One reason is so you do not get bored and give up. Another reason is that it exercises your muscles in different ways so your body does not become familiar with any particular exercise. One of the most common weight exercises for you to try is the bicep curl. This is an uncomplicated exercise that simply involves you standing in an upright position and curling the weight towards your chest and slowly lowering it to its natural position. Other exercises include the plank yoga position, pull ups, and aerobics.
